Honey Bear Hotel
Great location, albeit a little tired, great place to soak up the port atmosphere of the harbour however the noise from the long-tail boats tend you render your alarm clock irrelevant at 6am. Internet connection is fair.
Kawthaung Hotel is tidy new hotel up on the ridge, short walking from the city centre. Best customer service of the hotels in Kawthaung, friendly and professional staffs with good English and Thai. Nice hotel just the walk is a little steep so may be best to take a taxi.
Located 200m from the waterfront up a lovely small lane way this hotel feels a little more homely than most. With prices starting at half that of the other hotels it is by far the best option for those on a budget. Single fan rooms come with TV and own toilet/shower. Breakfast is included which normally consists of an egg and toast. Internet connection in the large seating area downstairs is fair-good.
